Why a "Technosignature Research Portal"?
The Technosignature Research Portal is a centralized repository of theory, research and discussion relating to the detection of anthropogenic technosignatures and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI).
At present, technosignature research is spread across various astrophysical journals and prepress servers, and isn't categorized in a manner which encourages a comparison of different potential technological indicators. The purpose of this portal is to quantify the merits of different approaches, and ultimately encourage the scientific community to design improved and innovative experiments as observational capabilities expand.
An All-Volunteer Project
The Technosignature Research Portal is an open, nonprofit, bias-free project curated entirely by volunteers from the scientific community. The portal is not subsidized, affiliated with or beholden to any other organization or academic institution.
